Triple Offset Butterfly Valve for Industrial Flow Control
-
Product Description
The triple offset geometry reduces direct contact between the disc and seat during opening and closing. In actual operation, this helps limit wear on sealing surfaces and keeps operating torque relatively stable, even after repeated cycles. Compared with conventional butterfly valves, it is more suitable for higher temperature and pressure conditions where soft seals are not practical.
For the sealing system, the seat surface is hard-faced with Stellite® alloy. This improves resistance to corrosion, erosion, and thermal impact. The laminated metal sealing ring is designed to provide uniform contact around the seat, which helps maintain consistent shut-off performance. Graphite-based sealing components are used to improve fire safety and allow easier replacement during maintenance.
The valve uses a one-piece shaft to ensure strength and reliable torque transmission. Bearings are selected to handle higher loads and reduce wear during operation. The packing system, combined with graphite material, is intended to control external leakage and meet common fugitive emission requirements in industrial applications.
From an installation and operation standpoint, the valve includes an external position indicator, making it easier to confirm open or closed status in the field. Flange sealing surfaces are machined to maintain proper flatness, helping improve sealing reliability at pipeline connections.
This type of triple offset butterfly valve is commonly used for media such as crude oil, natural gas, steam, chemical fluids, acids, seawater, and industrial gases. It is also applied in geothermal systems, district heating networks, and other energy-related processes.
