The body is cast first and then machined. Sealing areas are controlled during machining to make sure the ball and seat match properly. As long as this part is done right, sealing performance is generally stable over time.

Operation is manual with a lever. For DN200, a lot of users prefer adding a gearbox, since the torque can be a bit high depending on pressure. With a gearbox, it’s easier to handle on site.
