Galvanized Carbon Steel Valve Coupling

This coupling is used for rigid connection between an actuator and valve stem. Made from solid carbon steel, machined from round bar. Inner bore with keyway for torque transmission. Zinc-plated surface for basic corrosion protection. Dimensions made to drawing. Typically used on ball valves and butterfly valves.

Construction

The coupling is turned from round bar stock. Outer diameter and both end faces are machined concentrically. Bore is drilled and keyway milled according to shaft size. Some versions include tapped holes on the side or end face for set screw locking. Surface is acid cleaned and zinc-plated. Coating thickness approx. 6–8 µm.

Installation

1. Clean bore and mating shaft; remove dirt or grease.

2. Align shaft key with keyway.
