Flanged Lug Type Knife Gate Valve

The flanged lug type gate valve is mainly used in medium conditions containing solid particles or fibers, such as mineral slurries, sewage, and mud slurries. This structure combines the compact installation method of flange type with the independent fixation advantage of lug type, making it convenient for on-site maintenance. It can be disassembled from one side of the pipeline during maintenance without the need for overall removal.

The valve body has threaded lugs on both sides, and they are fixed using through bolts during installation. Compared to the ordinary flanged type structure, it has better overall rigidity and is suitable for long-term operation in medium and low pressure conditions.

The gate plate is made of stainless steel material, and the edges are processed for precision. During the closing process, it can cut off some fibers or deposits, reducing the risk of jamming. The sealing form can be selected as rubber or metal structure according to the usage conditions. For general sewage systems, soft seals are usually used, while metal seals can be selected for high wear or high-temperature conditions.

The gate valve is more suitable for full opening or full closing operations. It is not recommended to operate it in a semi-open state for a long time. During installation, ensure the parallelism of the flanges to avoid deformation of the valve body due to force and affect the sealing effect.
