Flanged Gate Valve

This is a double-flange structure gate valve, commonly used in pipelines for slurries, sewage or media containing particles. The structure is straightforward, without complex components. Its main function is to isolate the pipeline.

The valve body is cast as a whole, with flanges at both ends. During installation, it is directly connected to the pipeline flange, with uniform force on the bolts, and no additional support is required. Compared to the flanged structure, the flanged type has better stability in large diameters.

The gate plate is a machined stainless steel plate that moves up and down along the internal guide groove of the valve body. When closed, the gate plate presses against the sealing surface. In the event of a small amount of fibers or deposits, it can generally cut through, but it is not suitable for throttling use.

The packing part is of a pressure cover structure. If leakage occurs, it can be handled by tightening or replacing the packing. The valve stem is exposed, driven by a handwheel, and the opening and closing status is intuitive. If automatic control is required, it can be changed to an air or electric actuator, and the valve body structure does not need to be adjusted.

This type of valve is mainly used in fully open or fully closed states. It is not recommended to operate it partially for a long time. During installation, ensure that the flanges are parallel to avoid the valve body being twisted and affecting the seal.
